It’s a knockout for the Tornado team at the 2010 challenge!

The Tornado team were pipped to the post by just two points, coming second at the 2010 ‘It’s a knockout challenge’ in aid if the Shakespeare Hospice.

The event which is based on the much loved 1980’s TV show ‘It’s a knockout’ took place on Sunday 19th September in Stratford upon Avon. Six teams of ten battled it out, competing in six challenges including, Pizza of the Action, Run the Gauntlet, The Water Race, The Great Escape, Down on the Farm and Last Man Standing. The event looks on target to raise over £5000 which will help The Shakespeare Hospice to support people affected by serious illness in the local community.

Based in Stratford on Avon, The Shakespeare Hospice offers the highest levels of care and support to people with life-limiting illnesses, such as Cancer, Motor Neurone Disease and HIV Aids. Care is provided through our Day Hospice in Shottery, or, when a patient is too ill to access the Day Hospice, the Hospice at Home nurses take care and support into the patient’s own home, enabling more people to remain in the comfort of their home, surrounded by their loved ones.
