Fencing firm aim to repeat success at Royal Highland Show

Leading wire fencing company Tornado celebrated it relaunch in front of more than 125,000 visitors at the Royal Cornwall Show 2008 (June 5-7).

The company now aims to repeat this success at the Royal Highland Show where it will also demonstrate the latest product in its fencing range. Poultry Net has been specifically designed for the free-range poultry market which is currently seeing a move away from battery farms following high-profile campaigns by TV chefs.

Managing director Kenny Campbell said: "The new branding gave the company a new look reflecting its position as a market leader and has received very positive feedback at the Royal Cornwall Show".

“Our new strapline is ‘Force 12 Fencing’ and this ties in with our name and reinforces the idea that our products are designed and manufactured to withstand extremes of weather. More than 30 years ago Tornado was the first company to supply high tensile wire in the UK and we started life as fencing contractors so we understand the requirements of our customers".

“With increasing competition from inferior imports it is crucial for the company to distinguish our range of products and emphasise Tornado’s on-going commitment to service standards".

“The new look has already received praise from customers and our contractor partners at the Royal Cornwall Show and we are keen to build on this success at the Royal Highland Show. As a company with deep roots in Scotland it is important to use this prestigious show to communicate these changes with our customers north of the border.”

Tornado products are distributed throughout Europe and beyond – from the Arctic Circle in Northern Norway to the heat of The Middle East. The company’s most prestigious contracts in the UK include the Forestry Commission and the 27-mile M6 toll road.
